Actually figuring out what makes a woman happy in life can be a bit complicated.

There are so many things that pop up throughout the week, so many stressors, and so many people who end up taking from you.

But there are women who do have happiness in their day-to-day lives, not just in the special moments or occasions.

And if you’re wondering how you can increase your happiness, find more purpose and fulfillment, and improve your daily life, then these habits below are incredibly important.

They’re great for practicing self-care and actually understanding what truly makes women happy. Because sometimes, it’s a lot different than you think!

1. Socializing

One of the keys to understanding what makes a woman happy is the time spent with others.

It’s been found that socializing makes women happy, and even happier than men. And that’s why it’s so important to create a habit of spending time with good people.

Creating strong bonds and emotional connections is an incredible way to take care of your mental health. So start meeting up with people who bring you life, and start looking for ways you can make even more friends right now.

Being emotionally bonded to others will pay dividends for your happiness in the future!

2. Helping Others

One of the biggest ways you can grow your happiness is helping and giving to others.

It takes the focus off of you and the problems you’re facing, grows your gratitude, and gives you a sense of achievement. It really is a beautiful path to happiness and becoming a more generous person.

Also, this coincides with the socializing habit, so it’s a win-win for you!

3. Finding More Time in the Day to Grow

If you’re going to adopt any of these habits that grow a women’s happiness, then this shouldn’t be skipped.

Finding more time and waking up earlier in the morning so that you can take care of your mental health, physical health, and goals is so important.

It’s one of the biggest ways to have a total life transformation and take care of your future self. Because while putting off your goals or health might seem easier right now, it will make things so much more discouraging later on.

So choose your hard. Do you want to put in the work now and have happiness later? Or do you want to put off the work and feel frustrated with your past self?

4. Singing

It doesn’t matter if you’re tone-deaf or not, singing can actually release endorphins which can help to make you feel happier. 

So whether you’re confident in your singing abilities or not, find some time at home, in the car, or in another private place to sing a bit to yourself.

It’s such a simple way to get in a better mental state, and have a more peaceful mind.

5. They Make Time for Fun

It may sound kind of cliché, but happy women know that making time for fun is actually very important for keeping themselves upbeat.

So make a list of things you’d like to do more often. What are some ways you’d like to have fun each week?

This could be things like…

  • Going on a picnic with friends.
  • Having a dinner party.
  • Going on a bike ride and coffee stop run.
  • Doing a solo coffee and journal date.
  • Spontaneous baking.
  • Heading to the farmer’s market and grabbing a couple nice things.
  • Packing a (really) good meal and going on a road trip.

6. They’re Goal Oriented

When it comes to what makes women happy, being goal oriented and not overlooking your dreams is so important.

So find time to write out your life goals and the steps you need to take in order to reach them over the course of 3, 6, or 12 months. Or if it’s a longer-term goal, look to others who have done the same thing you want to do and the steps they took.

When you’re planning out your future and how you can make it better, I promise you, you’re gonna feel a whole lot happier.

7. They Look for the Good

Happy women make it a habit to look for the good things around them to keep a positive mindset.

So for example, if your first impression when you see a person is to dislike something about them, find anything (their shoes, their bag, their smile, etc.) that you do like and hold that thought.

Or if you’re having a bad day, look for the things that have gone right, or start practicing gratitude for the good days you have had.

It’s an amazing way to play down the negative and become a more mentally resilient person.
