Positive quotes can be incredibly helpful, but here’s why.
When you go through difficult times in your life, it can be seriously discouraging and overwhelming.
And especially when it feels like you’re all alone.
It can feel like no one sees you, or gets what you’re experiencing.
But thankfully, those moments, and those seasons of life, do change and get better as you choose to change your mindset, and outlook on life.
Also, there are many tools you can use to get through difficult times, and level up your life.
- Doing positive affirmations.
- Practicing journaling prompts.
- Doing self-care.
- Learning how to make friends who will actually be there for you.
- Creating a vision board.
And among these tools, positive quotes can help you in making your life better as well!
I’m all about helping people like you, level up their life. And I believe that quotes can be a great way to do just that!
Also, there are multiple studies that show how positive thinking can help us. So in one study, it was shown that the immune systems of people who found optimistic ways of thinking during difficulties, were benefited. Or another study, that showed how positive quotes actually did help patients struggling with different chronic disorders.
I feel that this is important to bring up since how you handle difficult times doesn’t just affect your mindset, or the outcome, it can also affect your health.
So many more things than you (or I) realize are affected by how we think.
So try using things like these quotes to help you get through challenges, and do it in the best way possible. ♥️

How to Make Positive Quotes Work for You
1. First, Understand the Benefits of Positive Thinking
Embracing positive thinking can have an incredible impact on your life.
Research has shown that maintaining a positive mindset can improve mental health, and reduce anxiety and worry.
So when you use powerful tools, such as positive quotes, you get to take control of your mindset, instead of letting your mindset have control over you.
You’re taking your thoughts captive so that you can be more emotionally resilient.
And when I talk about emotional resilience, I’m talking about…
- Bouncing back from setbacks.
- Viewing failures as learning opportunities.
- And the ability to keep moving forward.
By focusing on the positives, you develop a more balanced perspective, which helps you understand how to move forward during the hard times, and stay motivated.
Also, cultivating positivity can have a huge effect on our relationships.
When you keep our mind in a positive space, others want to be around you.
I mean, think about all the times you’ve hung out with someone who had so much positive energy. You probably loved being around them!
You could tell that they were actually happy with their lives; they weren’t someone who was just taking from you emotionally.
And when you practice keeping your thoughts on things that are going to benefit you, you’re going to be able to be this person as well.
2. Strategies for Maintaining Positivity
Here are just a few ways you can use the quotes above to cultivate a positive mindset:
- Practice Daily Gratitude: Keep a gratitude journal and write down a positive quote on gratitude for the day that you want to focus on. But don’t just forget about it after writing it; allow it to change how you think for that day.
- Surround Yourself with Positive Influences: Look for supportive friends, inspiring books, motivational podcasts, or online communities that will help you stay on track. And if there’s a helpful quote from a specific person who has written books or does podcasts, look them up! They might just inspire you more. 😊
- Reframe Negative Thoughts: Challenge negative thinking patterns by intentionally reframing them into empowering beliefs. This is one you need to be consistent with! Also, what are some quotes you use to keep yourself in an empowered mindset? Write some down and quickly go to them when you’re struggling.
- Limit Exposure to Negativity: Keep negative news, social media, or toxic relationships that drain your energy far away. Instead, surround yourself with positive thoughts and ideas from inspiring people, good friends, and activities that are going to support your mental health.
- Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind and practice self-love. Treat yourself with the same patience and understanding you would give to your friend who was going through a hard time. Also, use those positive quotes! Don’t just read them to feel good. Use them to motivate yourself to take action and to be kind to yourself!
3. Look at Great Examples of People Who Kept a Positive Mindset
Start looking up the people from the quotes above, and study their lives.
What were they doing to keep themselves motived? How did they cultivate a positive mindset?
A good example would be Maya Angelou.
I quoted her three times! She’s a very positive person. 😊
She is an amazing example of finding power in positivity and overcoming so many hardships.
Throughout her life, Angelou faced numerous challenges, including childhood trauma, racial discrimination, and her own personal struggles.
But she still refused to let these experiences define her.
Instead, she embraced a positive outlook, and used her experiences as a motivation for personal growth and taking part in social change.
She really is a great example of someone to learn from! It can be so easy to feel like you’re all alone in your struggles and no else gets it. But when you start looking at people who also went through horrible difficulties as well, you get to see how they overcame it.
And then you can use their story to help you overcome your own personal struggles. ❤️
4. Use One Positive Quote Each Day
Gathering up all of these positive quotes was something I started doing for you, and others who might read this.
I know how helpful it can be to read over something that changes your perspective. Sometimes you need a tool that will help you get out of your head.
But as I went over them more, I realized, you know what, I don’t want you going over these alone. I’d love to be someone who is keeping positive words in front of me as well.
So let’s do it together!
It’s SO much better to get through difficult times with someone, so here are two things you can do:
- Feel free to write me at email@example.com. I’ll be here to listen to you and talk! I check and answer my emails around a couple of times a week. 😊
- Let’s both pick one positive quote a day to start with. Let’s keep it simple. What’s one quote that will help you today? What can you meditate and remind yourself of, whether things are going well or not?
It’s such an easy way to start, and I hope that I can help encourage you wherever you are in life!
