Have a Key Page

First and foremost, since your journal goal is to stay organized and systematic, having a key page will help you easily navigate through your journaling. You can use different shapes or symbols, no need to make things complicated for each category by always adding “Occasions,” “Tasks,” “Appointments,” or “Meetings.”

Put them preferably on the first page and scan when needed.

Create a Calendar Corner

Whether you want to see the current month or the year, this is where a mini calendar in your journal comes in. Never miss any special dates and/or events when you have a calendar right there. Make it simple or creative or if you want you can print out ones from the internet. It’ll save you so much time.

Laminate Your Most Used Page

Usually, for pages like “Meal Plans,” or “Grocery List,” you need to create a new sheet every week. So save those pages and try laminating them. Then you can easily use a whiteboard marker to write on that page and when done, just erase and use again!

Doodle it Out

This tip doesn’t require you to be artsy or crafty. There’s no rule on doodling and you can draw whatever you want. Let your imagination unleash and get creative. Why not put some doodle banner for each header? A doodle of activities on your bucket list, an illustration of a piggy bank for your savings as a visual reminder, or a portrait of you achieving your future plans. You can do whatever you want as long as it helps you focus on your goals and dreams.

Try Erasable Pens

If you’re a bit of a perfectionist, consider getting erasable pens. They work the same as normal pens, but when you accidentally make a mistakes in your journal, you can quickly erase it and leave no mark. How cool is that?

Create a Habit Tracker

Do you want to break a bad habit and stick to good ones? Then try making a habit tracker page that you can bring anywhere anytime. You can use a graph or tables for it and write in what you want to change and achieve. Then you can keep track of what does and doesn’t need improvement. And if you choose to laminate this page, then you can erase what’s been accomplished and make new goals for yourself.

Use Some Print Outs

It’s already a given that you can customize and personalize your bullet journal, so why not take it to the next level? Hop on to Pinterest for some motivating and cool designs and printables for your journal. Any illustrations will do and if you want to put a picture of you or your specific goal, then why not? As long as it keeps you inspired and on fire in achieving your plans!

Typography

Don’t be afraid to try out new things and create some typography in your bullet journals. Every font, letter, and character arrangement plays a part in determining how your message is conveyed. So get creative and play with them. And if you need basic inspiration or a tutorial, then definitely check out Pinterest or Youtube.

DIY Journal Bookmarks

Want an easy way bookmark your journal? Grab those paperclips, buttons, glue, and let’s get started! All you have to do is put the button onto the paperclip using the glue (or hot glue) and let it dry. In no time, you’ll have a quick and adorable bookmark for your most used or favorite journal pages.

Make Use of Stickers

Stickers are a great way to bring attention to certain tasks and goals. So check out Amazon or Pinterest for some inspiring stickers with quotes or symbols that’ll help you with journaling.

There’s no doubt bullet journals are such a great way to keep your life organized and ordered. And implementing these tips and tricks in your journal will definitely level up your journaling experience. So give them a try and let me know what you think!
