An organized closet.

A cluttered closet can happen so easily. Seriously, all it takes is for a few shirts to fall off the hangers, lie on the ground for a couple of days, and then suddenly any motivation to keep things straight goes away.

But if you’re looking for a way to keep your closet organized and in order, then these closet organization hacks will definitely help you out.

You’ll finally have ways to keep everything in its place and potentially build out your own closet organization system. There’s no need for things to be complicated or hard when you can keep everything straight with some simple DIY hacks.

So check out these closet organization ideas and get inspired to tidy things up this week!

1. Hang Your Jeans Up on S Hooks

From what I’ve been learning, S hooks are extremely handy for the home. And in this case, you can get some extra space by hanging up your jeans with them.

Also, if you are going to buy some for your organization system, then you might as well use them for other parts of your bedroom and home too!

2. Hang Your Sweaters Like This so They Don’t Fall Off

If you wanna make sure that your sweaters stay hung up and don’t get misshapen from the hanger, then definitely try out this hack!

Also, it can be a great way to stay organized and save space on your closet shelves.

I love this idea! It’s a super cute and handy way to have your accessories easily accessible. So once you’re done arranging your wardrobe, this might be one of the closet organizer ideas you’ll want to try right away!

4. Use S Hooks for Your Purses and Umbrellas

S hooks are also great for hanging up items with handles. So if you have plenty of purses and/or umbrellas, then definitely try this DIY hack out.

You can also arrange your items in a way to make things look pretty and be super easy to grab!

5. Tension Rod Shoe Rack

If you have your own organized walk-in, but you have a ton of shoes that you’re not so sure how to store, then this is the perfect display idea for you.

Because if you’re not one of those people who have a minimal collection, then I think you’ll wanna try this.

Update: Link to article and site no longer exists, but here’s her original quote on how she did it, “I used 6 tension rods for a cost of under $25. I spaced each tension rod about a foot a part. This will vary depending on your shoe size. The masking tape is used to cover the wall where the heels hit to avoid scuffing.”

6. Hang Multiple Tights or Scarves on a Hanger

If you’re a scarf or tights person (like me!), then definitely try hanging up your scarves on a hanger. It’ll make them easier to grab and also it just look plain nice.

7. IKEA Billy Bookcase Closet Organization

There seems to be an IKEA hack for everything. And I really like this one for shoe storage and organization (not to mention that you could also store other things on it).

So if you’re all done organizing clothes, then this might be a good idea to try for your shoes!

8. Use Paper Towel Holders and Magazine File Boxes to Organize Accessories

You have tons of accessories and belts cluttering your closet and dresser, so what are you going to do? Buy some cheap towel holders and magazine file boxes to keep it all organized of course!

No, but seriously, this is one of the smartest wardrobe storage ideas I’ve ever seen, and it looks really good too!

9. Use Wall Brackets For More Hanging Space

10. Raise Your Bed With a Bed Riser

I really love this idea since it allows you to declutter your closet and gives a little extra storage space. Also, it’s a stylish way to keep things organized rather than just stuffing things under your bed hoping people won’t see your mess.

Definitely something to think about, especially if you don’t want to get rid of some of your belongings.

If you wanna streamline your closet, then try painting your hangers (or just buy different colored hangers). It’s a great way to keep things tidy and well-organized.

So for instance, yellow for summer clothes, orange for fall, blue for winter, and pink for spring clothes. Or you can organize them based on clothing piece type, occasion, or anything else that works for you and your current lifestyle.

And if you’re tired of digging around the closet, then this organization method might just be for you!
