Many of us need the best money tips we can find, and thankfully, Dave Ramsey has got us covered.

He’s a financial expert that has helped TONS of people get out of debt and live their best life. And if that’s something you want for yourself, then keep on reading! These tips will really help you out!

Quick Important Side Note:

If you are in debt, then I would definitely read Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover which you can check out here. He’s helped MILLIONS of people climb their way out of debt and have financial peace and security. So DEFINITELY check him out!

Also! He has another great book called the Legacy Journey which is a great read. Check it out here!

Cancel Your Subscriptions: If you want to destroy debt, then make sure to go through all your subscriptions, and cancel them. And later on, if you see that your budget permits it, you can sign up for them again.

Purchase Generic Products: Probably one of the easiest ways you can save money is to purchase generic products when you can. This way you’re not spending more money on something that has the exact same ingredients as the well-known brand.

Have a Budget: Having a budget and knowing where all the money is going is one of the most important things you can do right now. It’ll help determine how fast you’ll be able to save money and get out of debt. It also allows you to see where your money is going when you don’t have a clue.

Saving: Make sure you have money withdrawn into your savings account every time you get paid so that the number is always rising.

Never Borrow: One of the smartest things you can do is to never use credit, only cash. Then you’ll be able to see how much money is leaving your wallet (as opposed to a credit card where you don’t even think about it).

Make Lunch at Home: A great way to save money and also lose weight is to make your lunch at home. We don’t always realize how much we spend on lunch each day. It really does add up. Seriously, we can end up spending hundreds!

Limit Groceries: Always plan before going to the store. This will help you make sure that you’re never paying for impulse purchases and save a lot of money in the long run. When I worked at Trader Joe’s, you have no idea how many times people came in and forgot what they were going to get, and ended up with a cart full of things they didn’t need.

Have an Emergency Fund: You want to make sure that you save at least $1000 for any emergency that might pop up. And things like Christmas or a birthday don’t count since these are things we can foresee. This should only be used for things like car accidents or a trip to the hospital. That way you never have to go into debt and use a credit card.

It is never easy to be behind financially and go into debt. In fact, it is downright stressful. But with the right tips and help from the right people, you can always make it out and get ahead. Seriously, it will be one of the best things you do in your life. Especially since you’ll be a great example for others out there going through the same thing.
