Prevent Leakage
Let’s look at your money as water, stored in a water tank. What if some of it keeps leaking out without you noticing? Some of your money is also lost like that. You may have a monthly subscription or you buy coffee every day before going to work. This may seem small to you but when you calculate the whole cost, it’s actually a lot of money.
52-Week Challenge
Through a 52 week challenge, you can save as much as $1,378 per year! The plan is very simple; you start by saving $1 a week and then keep adding one every week. $2 in the second week, $3 in the third week, and so on.
Get Creative
For the month of December, when you need to buy gifts for friends and family, why don’t you try being creative and make some heartfelt gifts yourself?
50/30/20 Rule
According to this popular rule, 50% of your pay goes to essentials like food and rent, 30% for your personal care and fun, and 20% towards savings. If you follow this rule strictly, it’ll definitely help with retirement.
Buy Used Items
The key to saving big bucks is buying used items. We often spend too much money on new electronic appliances, furniture, cars, laptops, phones, etc. But if you really want to save money, then do some extra research and look for used items. Many companies provide this option too, like Apple which also has a refurbished store.
Take Your Own Lunch
Takeout everyday costs way too much. If you calculate the amount you spend every day on your lunch, it’ll amount to something substantial by the end of the month. So make your lunch at home, save money and stay healthy!
When money is tight, these tips will definitely let you save some extra cash! So stick with them and see where they take you!
