Having the problem of not knowing what to wear when you have nothing to wear is pure torture.
Ok not really, but on a scale from 1 to 10, it’s a 20.
You feel the stress of needing to leave, but still wanting to look effortlessly fashionable. So I’m gonna help you out with that.
These are just some simple outfit ideas that are gonna make your decision so much simpler.
I’ll probably also be adding to them as the months go by so that you have a much bigger and more comprehensive list.
And as I keep on doing that, let’s just get rid of those annoying moments for you once and for all.
1. Long or Oversized Cardigan
I love cardigans because they can make so many outfits instantly look more causally put-together.
So for example…
Got some black jeans and a cute colored body suit? Put a cardigan with it.
Have a nice button-up with a pretty skirt? Add a cardigan to this as well.
Side Note: They’re also great since you can get thicker or thinner cardigans, depending on the weather, and wear them for quite a few months out the year.
2. Blouse & Jeans (Or Dress Pants)
This is one of my favorite go-to’s for two reasons:
- It’s ridiculously easy to pull together.
- You instantly look amazing. You’re the person who walks into a coffee shop looking like you have your entire life together. People think you’re fashionable and fashionably cool.
Now which is best, jeans or dress pants? Both. Both are honestly pretty good.
So grab a good blouse, some well-fitted pants, some cute flats, and you’re ready to leave.
3. A Light or Heavy Coat Depending on the Season
Having the right coat is a total game-changer.
A few years ago, I experimented with different coats and found that my outfits instantly leveled-up.
Also, there are so many different types you can get depending on the time of year:
- Trench Coats
- Camel Coats (like the one I’m wearing above)
- Overcoats
- Peacoats
And here are some outfit examples for coats:
- A cute dress with a trench coat.
- A light sweater with nicely fitted jeans and a peacoat.
- Turtleneck with skirt and camel coat.
- Blouse and jeans with a trench coat.
4. A Simple Feminine Dress
Whether it’s a light and pretty spring or summer dress, or a darker warmer dress for the colder months, a dress is just a wonderfully simple outfit.
It takes you 10 seconds to put on and you’re done. No delays.
5. Turtleneck W/ Skirt or Jeans
I am in love with turtlenecks.
They make you look really fashionable and sophisticated.
You kinda become “that girl” when you put it with an outfit.
It’s a simple outfit level-up that a lot of people kinda overlook and so much better than your everyday jeans and t-shirt.
Side Note: Nothing wrong with jeans and a t-shirt, but sometimes it just feels good to dress up a bit more.
6. Blazer W/ Dress or Skirt
I haven’t had the courage to wear a blazer, but I always think the girls who do look incredible.
It kinda makes you look like you know what you’re doing, and it’s such an easy way to look fashionable.
Also, there’s kind of a cute element to them since a lot of blazers are oversized and I think oversized outfit pieces are adorable.
Pro Tip: Roll up the sleeves to make the outfit look extra good.
7. Oversized Button-Up With Dark Pants
Oversized button-ups with dark pants are so casual yet so fashionable.
It kinda gives you that look of being effortlessly stylish.
And whether you…
- Tuck the front of it into you jeans
- Wear it over some leggings
- Or pair it with some linen pants
You’re gonna look amazing.
