8 Simple Ways to Romanticize Your Week

Ways to romanticize your week.

I’m loving this quiet movement of just making the ordinary feel beautiful.

From the way you plate your food to making everyday errands special, there are so many ways to make your life look a bit more like a novel.

I also see it as a form of self-care. You’re finding ways to celebrate the monotonous and intentionally doing things that make you feel happy.

So I wanted to give my own ideas on how to romanticize your week.

It doesn’t matter if you’re reading this just before the week starts, or a Wednesday morning, you can always take some time to make your life just a bit more romantic.

1. Treat Monday Like a Fresh Journal Page

Light a candle, write some gentle intentions, and let the week begin with clarity, not overwhelm.

It’s so important to set kind goals that will help protect your peace. These should guide you in how you want your entire week to unfold.

What do you want to avoid? What kind of mindset do you want to carry with you throughout each day? How do you want to love yourself? How can you have things taken off your plate?

2. Make Your Daily Coffee a Ritual, Not a Habit

Listen to some music as the coffee is being made, pour slowly, sit by an open window, and let it feel like a scene in a foreign film.

And while you’re at the store, grab some fresh flowers to put by your window, and one sweet thing you can pair with your coffee throughout the week.

It’s a quiet moment to share with yourself before the day truly starts.

3. Get Dressed & Put Some Perfume on Even if You’re Not Leaving the Home

You are the occasion.

You don’t need to wait to feel or look nice, you can simply do it just for you. So whether you put some perfume on before bed, or you’re dressed up while making a nice dinner, you can celebrate that you’re worth the effort.

You don’t need to wait for someone else to do it for you.

4. Romanticize Your Meals (Even Solo Ones)

Use the nice plates, light a candles, put on a really good playlist, and slowly enjoy a very good meal.

Also, this is a good excuse to make that fancy looking recipe you found when you were hunger scrolling Pinterest. No need to wait for a holiday or for someone to come over. You’re already important enough.

5. Write a Letter to Yourself from Five Years Ago

Take some time to sit by a window, relax in the sunlight, use some very nice paper, and write a letter to your younger self.

There’s so much power in telling her, “We made it here. Look how far we’ve come.” Also, it’s such a great way to see how incredible you are, and practice gratitude and kindness toward yourself.

6. Take a Walk With No Destination & Let Beauty Find You

Leave your headphones, watch the light change, and let the stillness of a moment surprise you.

Just walk with the intention that there is beauty, and you are going to experience it. And if it does end up leading you to a new park or a cute coffee shop, then it was a pleasant surprise.

7. Make Your Night Routine a Bit Cinematic

Some soft lighting, silk sleepwear, and a bit of perfume because sleep is a sacred ritual too.

Let’s honor your evenings by making them a time to reset, while respecting your need for rest. Not everything has to be perfect before a workday or an outing. Sometimes you just need to take things slow.

8. Read Something Beautiful Before Sleep, Not Just Something Useful

Let language be what carries you to sleep. Your mind deserves beauty, not just productivity.

So read some beautiful poetry, an article that moves you, or a novel that’s paints incredible imagery. Let that be the last thing on your mind before you doze off.
