Our hectic lifestyle these days has its downfalls, our diets have changed so much over the years that our bodies might be a bit confused. Something has to give, and for a lot of us, it is our tummies that seem to take the impact of our busy routines.

Most of us would like to have that elusive flat firm stomach where we can wear those bikinis or short tops with confidence.

So what are the best foods to help achieve this goal?

A diet that contains lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and LEAN protein will help us to achieve this.

And there are many foods that can help promote a tighter tummy, so here are nine for you to start with.

Quick Important Note:

If you want an AWESOME guide that’ll help you lose weight (even when you’re eating out), then check out Eat This, Not That! here.

Basically… you don’t need to diet to lose weight and can STILL go to McDonald’s.

Yogurt

Benefits: Fat-free yogurt can help burn fat, is high in calcium and probiotics. This makes it a great food for digestion that also helps in promoting a healthy weight. Moreover, it’s a great source of protein meaning it can help with muscle retention.

Quick Tip

If you want to add something to your drinks and food that keeps your skin looking younger, repairs your body (after working out), AND gives you energy throughout the day, then I would seriously recommend collagen protein powder which you can check out here.

ALSO, this brand is specifically great since it’s flavorless (which is awesome since I hate adding things that make my favorite drinks and food taste horrible). So I would definitely check it out here and see how you feel and look after using it for a little while.

Avocado

Benefits: Avocados have healthy fats which help keep your body healthy and give you great skin. It is also a great appetite suppressor.

Cucumber

Benefits: Low in fat and high in water content and soluble fiber, cucumbers contain antioxidants which prevent the accumulation of harmful free radicals.

Salmon

Benefits: Salmon is a great source of lean protein which helps maintain muscle mass. It also has the benefits of helping to reduce blood pressure.

Chili Peppers

Benefits: These little fiery treats can help boost your metabolism. It’s also just really fun to add to Thai and Mexican dishes.

Asparagus

Benefits: This veggie is packed with vitamins A & C which aid in fat burning. It is also a great antioxidant and improves digestion.

Almonds

Benefits: These nuts are full of fiber and may help reduce blood sugar levels. Almonds are also a good source of healthy fats and are loaded with antioxidants.

Bonus!

Blueberries an strawberries are also a great addition for your grocery list when it comes to belly tightening foods.

Adding all these easy and tasty foods to a good diet and some exercise should help you have that tight tummy. And before you know it, you will have that flat stomach you always wanted, and the confidence to wear those bikinis and that favorite pair of jeans that didn’t fit you long ago.

And most importantly, don’t forget to drink lots of water to help get rid of stored fat in your body.
