10 Snacks That Will Detox the Body

Detoxing can be great for the body, but what about when you want to munch on some yummy snacks? Well, thankfully you’re in luck!

These ten detox-friendly snacks will make your detox that much more enjoyable. So try them out and let us know what you think!

1. Baked Avocado Chips

These yummy snacks may not be the guacamole on nachos that you’re dreaming of, but they are a delicious means of snacking without breaking your detox. The high fiber content is also fantastic for you too.

2. Asparagus

Asparagus helps cleanse the liver, and can also aid in getting rid of the impurities in your body. It’s easy to cook, and can be steamed or boiled quickly. Bonus points if you eat it raw, as this will help prevent any bloating.

3. Grapefruit

This slightly bitter fruit can help in many ways. Detoxing, burning fat, helping with diabetes and cancer, lowering cholesterol, helping fight gum disease; the list goes on. Why not give it a shot?

4. Gluten-Free Sesame Sticks

While these can be found in normal snack mixes, this version is far better for detoxing and is also great if you’re gluten intolerant.

5. Apples with Almond Butter

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, or so the saying goes. But an apple with almond butter is delicious and has the right kind of fats to keep you healthy. The fiber content of the apple will also aid you with digestion.

6. Rice

Carbs are one thing that people think they have to avoid while detoxing or dieting. And while this may be partially true, the right kinds of carbohydrates are good for you.

Rice is one staple food that, while a type of carb, is beneficial to your body. And in particular, unrefined whole grains are your best bet here.

7. Carrot Sticks and Hummus

Other than being insanely delicious, carrot sticks with hummus are on the list of snacks you can have while detoxing.

They’re also great for aiding in weight loss, particularly if you’re choosing these over fatty foods or snacks with a high sugar or salt content.

8. Pineapple

Sweet and delicious, pineapple is great for you when detoxing. They’re fantastic for digestion, as well as for colon cleansing. So, you get to eat something yummy AND do yourself a favor. Win-win.

9. Lemon Water

While this is a drink, lemon water is brilliant for detoxing. Water itself is highly beneficial for health as well as hydration, and the lemon will give you a natural and refreshing flavor with no added preservatives.

10. Watermelon

Watermelon is great for aiding your liver and kidneys to get rid of any impurities in the body. Also, did we mention that it’s super yummy too?
