Let’s face it, we all want to look and dress like celebrities but clearly our wallets aren’t having it. And a common misconception is that you can only look pretty in high-end clothes although that’s not the case at all. It’s about what suits you and how you carry it. An average income earner cannot afford to buy a Gucci bag, but they sure can make their look expensive by putting in a little bit of effort and being smart about it. And the following are some tips to make your wardrobe look expensive!

Important Side Note:

If you’re in debt, then I would definitely read Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover which you can check out here. He’s helped MILLIONS of people climb their way out of debt and have financial peace and security. So DEFINITELY check him out!

Also! He has another great book called the Legacy Journey which is a great read. Check it out here!

Button up: one of the things that gives your cheap clothes away is the quality of the buttons. So go ahead and swap them with metal buttons or pearls, you won’t regret it!

Quick Note!

Preserve fabric: some people have a habit of putting their clothes in the laundry every day, even if they’ve just worn it for only 2 hours. This could damage your clothes and make them look old and worn out and that’s exactly what you don’t want. Wash only when they’re dirty.

Get clothes tailored: One size doesn’t work for everybody, so it’s better to get something that’s not costly and spend a few extra dollars to make it look amazing on you!

Get a steamer: today’s generation doesn’t have time to iron clothes in their busy lives and they’re usually putting on a wrinkled shirt. Un-ironed clothes give a bad impression, especially in the workplace, so look more professional by steaming your clothes for five minutes.

Accessorize your look: accessories can make anything look more pricey. A basic crop top with jeans… ordinary right? Well pair it up with a cute necklace or long earrings, and you have a more expensive look. Don’t go overboard, keep it minimal and stylish.

Avoid trends: trends come and go; what’s in fashion right now may become obsolete in a few months, that’s just how it is. So fill your wardrobe with classic pieces so they never go out of fashion like a good black dress or a cotton white shirt.

Color coordination: ever noticed how designers stick to certain colors in every collection? That’s because you don’t need to go all out with colors in every outfit. Pick the colors that suit you and try to pair it with something that has a similar shade or a neutral.
