The New Year is right around the corner and you definitely want to start the new year off with new goals that’ll help you be the best version of yourself. And one thing that helps you in this is your finances. So, here are some tips for you to have money in the New Year.

Important Side Note:

If you’re in debt, then I would definitely read Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover which you can check out here. He’s helped MILLIONS of people climb their way out of debt and have financial peace and security. So DEFINITELY check him out!

Also! He has another great book called the Legacy Journey which is a great read. Check it out here!

They Make a Budget

Before stepping into the next year, you need to have a budget that you religiously follow no matter what. Budgets are the best way to track your expenses and make cuts when necessary. Budgeting will give you a clearer idea of your expenses and stop you from spending on things you don’t need.

They Overthink Before Buying Anything Expensive

Another very important way to save money is to always think about what you’re about to buy. Do not make any impulsive purchases. Come home, look for cheaper alternatives, and make sure to ask yourself questions like, “Do I need this?” “Can I live without it?” And if the answer is yes to both, then you shouldn’t be spending a hefty amount of money.

They Have Multiple Streams of Income

Relying on a single source of income may never be enough for you. So the best thing you can do is to look for ways to make money online, rental properties, investments, and so much more.

They Declutter

Get rid of your old things and sell them. They aren’t any good when they’re just lying around, so sell them and make some extra cash for your savings this month.

They Avoid Debt (& Christmas Debt!)

This could be the key to you having money in the New Year. Avoid taking on any debts since you’ll have to deal with interest and the stress of being in debt. Only buy within your means.

They Don’t Have Credit Cards

It may be hard to wrap our heads around this, but credit cards are almost always the reasons why we overspend. It’s hard to reason with ourselves when there’s a cute bag in front of us. And it’s even harder to avoid buying it when you have a credit card.

They Quit Unnecessary Monthly payments

It’s always a smart idea to get rid of any payments such as a gym membership (as an example). Many of us never use our expensive gym memberships and end up wasting a lot of money. Find alternative ways to workout instead, such as biking or swimming.

When you follow these tips, you’ll be set to enter into the New Year right! So give them a try and let us know how it goes!
