You’ve probably worked hard to get to your current fitness level and I’m guessing you want to keep fit and healthy. So what are the best foods to help you with your fitness goals? Well down below is a list of great ideas you can try this week! So check them out and let us know how it goes.

1. Grapes

Grapes are such a tasty and easy snack, and one of the best things about them is that they’re filled with vitamin K (which is great for bone health and blood clotting). Also, antioxidants (which protect against aging) and vitamin C are just another great reason to munch on this healthy snack.

2. Yogurt

Yogurt is great for those who workout since it has impressive protein content. Greek yogurt, considered as the healthiest type of yogurt, is ideal for a post workout snack due to its balanced protein and carbohydrate content.

3. Celery

A stalk of celery is chock-full of antioxidants (12 to be exact!), and also contains vitamin C. It’s also great for reducing inflammation in the body (such as the digestive tract, organs, and blood vessels). Plus, it’s an easy snack which makes it an overall win.

4. Broccoli

While broccoli might not be the favorite of many, it’s still a great option for when you want to slim down, improve digestion, detox your body, and take in a ton of vitamins and minerals. So whether you eat it in a low-cal stir fry or raw with some healthy dip, you’re going to be packing your body full of nutrients!

5. Salmon

High in vitamin D and Omega 3, salmon improves bone and heart health. Also, it’s a great and tasty lean meat that’ll help you stay fit!

6. Grapefruit

High in vitamin C & A (which aid in fat burning), grapefruit helps lower insulin levels which promotes weight loss so you can start looking weight quicker.

7. Cucumber

With very little fat, a high water content, and soluble fiber, cucumbers also contain antioxidants which prevent the accumulation of harmful free radicals.

8. Almonds

These little gems are full of fiber, and may also help lower blood sugar levels. Almonds are also a great source of healthy fats and are loaded with antioxidants.

9. Kale

Kale is called a superfood since it’s high in iron, full of antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory benefits. Also, it has vitamins A & C and has more calcium than milk.

10. Sweet Potato

Sweet potatoes are high in fiber, which is always great for digestion. Plus, eating some sweet potato post workout is a good way to help boost your energy levels and aid your muscle tissue.

This list is, of course, just a recommendation of the types of foods you can consume to maintain your fitness. And as with many things in life, getting to the correct diet for your body type will be trial and error. But soon you’ll see what works for you and how your body gets to benefit.
