Now they have plenty of articles out there that’ll show you how to save at different stores, but this time, I only focused on six of their best money saving guides.

It’s an easy list to go through, so feel free to check out the different ways you can save at these different stores, and let me know which one of their guides is your favorite!

$200 of Groceries for $28 – A Step by Step Savings Guide

One of my favorite ideas from this awesome list of savings tips is to buy big packages of meat at warehouse stores like Costco or Sam’s Club. In the article, she talks about how at Costco, she can get chicken breast for $3.99 per pound while at her local grocery store, it’s $4.29 a pound. And sometimes it’ll even be on sale for a buy one get one free situation!

And once you’ve bought what you want, you can store that extra meat in the freezer, or split it with a friend or family member.

Whether Pampers or a store brand, drugstores like CVS will have some great sales almost every week.

Also, it’s just a great way to get the essentials. So for instance, if you need to stock up on some laundry detergent, drugstores like Walgreens and Rite Aid will have frequent sales on the major brands!

If you really wanna know whether a name brand really is better than the store’s generic brand, then this is your chance to find out.

And here’s one of my favorite finds! Milk is a staple for many people’s households, and when it comes down to it, the Great Value milk definitely beats out Darigold. Tastes the same but way cheaper!

How to Save Money at Target

Confirmed Target Markdown Schedule

Probably my most favorite department store with items I can actually afford, but aren’t too cheap in quality. So you might be able to guess how happy I was when I found these two guides for saving money at Target.

A few of their tips that I really liked:

  • You’ll see either the numbers 30, 50, or 70 in the upper right-hand corner of a tag. These represent the discount percentage for the product (so think 30% off or 50%). It turns out that 70% is the last markdown, so you’ll know whether you should grab it now or wait for later.
  • Apparently shopping earlier on in the day gives you a better chance at finding good deals on meat.

17 Easy Ways to Shop Smarter at Target

Here are a couple of my favorite tips from this article:

  • Target does 2 different types of price cuts. One is permanent, and the other is temporary and lasts up to 14 days. And thankfully there’s no guesswork since the sign will say “temporary price cut,” so make sure to look out for that!
  • If you use the Target app and are apart of their Circle rewards program, then take advantage of the Circle offers since they’ll automatically apply at checkout.

If you wanna learn how to save money on Old Navy clothing, then this list of budget friendly shopping tips has got you covered.

My favorite tip: It turns out that items ending in $0.47 have the final markdown price. So that means you’re probably getting a good deal, and you need to grab it before it’s gone (it’ll rarely be marked down anymore)!

The Ultimate Guide to Saving at IKEA

IKEA can be pretty fun to visit, and here’s one of my favorite tips from the list.

If you join the IKEA Family membership plan (a free rewards program), it has a ton of benefits

So for instance, while non-members already get 1 hour with their free daycare, members get an extra 30 minutes. Also, you can get a free cup of coffee every time you visit, discounts, 2 free kids entrees whenever you order your own, and more. Definitely something to consider!

How to Save Money at Costco

When it comes to Costco shopping secrets, here are my favorites:

  • Prices ending in .97 are markdown deals.
  • If there’s a price drop within 30 days of you having purchased a specific product, you can ask for the difference in the form of a refund. Just make sure to have your receipt on hand!

19 Unbeatable Deals You Can Only Find at Costco

Article on 19 deals you can get at Costco.
PHOTO: THE KRAZY COUPON LADY

Costco can get pretty addictive, but when you pair it with savings and tips like these, the addiction can get so much worse.

So for instance, if you’re having a big birthday party, you can get a (much better quality) half sheet cake for around $26.99. Compare that to Walmart’s $42.96 half sheet cake and you know you’re getting a good deal.

Or if you wanna grab a rotisserie chicken for dinner tonight, you’ll find it being sold at $1.66 per pound instead of Walmart’s $2.65 per pound.

And the list goes on! Check out the rest of their Costco deals here.

Walmart

Now Walmart may not be everyone’s favorite, but they do have some pretty great deals. Pair it with some shopping hacks and you‘re gonna save quite a bit of money!

While they won’t price match other competitors like Target, if you see an item on Walmart.com being sold at a cheaper price, you can ask for a price match.

Also, use the Walmart App to scan items in store to see if you’re getting the original price or if it’s been marked down.

Gap

If you like Gap, then here are some ideas on how to save when shopping there!

  • Look out for their online flash sales. They’re once a month, last 48 hours, and you can expect a 40% off storewide code (along with other promo codes). Just sign up for their email updates to know when the flash sales are happening.
  • Use the Gap app to scan an item with its barcode scanner to price match with Gap.com. A very simple way to potentially save money!

T.J.Maxx

PHOTO: THE KRAZY COUPON LADY

As a store that takes in items at a super marked down rate, T.J. Maxx is a great place to shop. But it gets even better when you apply saving hacks when going there. Hacks like…

  • Monday mornings being the time when markdowns happen.
  • Yellow price tags indicating the final markdown.
  • Head over to T.J.Maxx’s “The Runway” section for some luxury brands that have some big discounts!

Starbucks

An article on how to save at Starbucks.
PHOTO: THE KRAZY COUPON LADY

Now Starbucks may be a coffee shop, but I thought I’d include it since many of us love going there. So take advantage of deals like…

  • Using the app to customize your seasonal drink and save money by paying less than their menu price.
  • Asking for a venti cold cup (which is 24 oz.) instead of their hot cup (20 oz.), and splitting it between two people. You’ll save a lot more than you realize!

Victoria’s Secret

A pin image for an article on Victoria's Secret money saving tips.

Sometimes it’s great to indulge in things that aren’t necessarily necessities. And lingerie would be one of them! So try some of these savings hacks like:

  • Stack two offer codes and add your VS or PINK Rewards separately (when logged into your your account) to get even more savings. Also, you can add more than 2 offers, you’ll just have do separate purchases.
  • They have a $30 for 5 panties deal (which isn’t horrible), but you can save more by waiting for their clearance sales (think $3.99 a pair).

Kohl’s

An article on ways to save money at Kohl's.
PHOTO: THE KRAZY COUPON LADY

Now I don’t normally shop at Kohl’s, but maybe deals like these will get me in there more often…

  • You can get $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 you spend at the store. Just make sure you’re apart of their rewards program.
  • If you make an Amazon return at Kohl’s, they’ll give you a 15-25% off coupon or $5 in Kohl’s Cash.

Here’s my favorite Hobby Lobby savings hack from this list!

While not all stores do this, you might be able to shop there on Saturday evenings when the weekly sales overlap.

This happens around closing time, and when they’re making the switch from one sale week to the next, you might be able to take advantage of both!

Home Depot

  • Lowe’s
  • Amazon
  • Target
  • Menards
  • Best Buy
  • Walmart

So if you’re trying to finish up a room or do a fun DIY project, then definitely check for deals so you can price match and save money! Also, read more on their price matching policy here.
