Old Make Up

You might have quite a build up of old and expired makeup in your bathroom that just clutters your drawers (I know I have in the past!). Whether it’s foundation or dried out mascara, just quickly throw them in the trash. You can’t use them anymore so there’s no sense in letting them take up space.

Expired Condiments

Whenever you have take out or delivery food, you usually get packets of ketchup, mustards, and mayo. And sometimes, you’ll store them in your fridge so they don’t go to waste.

But because they’re so small, they’re easily forgettable. So be sure to get rid of expired condiments to avoid getting sick.

This also goes for regular sized condiment bottles as well!

Bills You Don’t Need to Keep

Do yourself a favor and get rid of all the junk mail, bills, receipts, and paychecks you really don’t need anymore. If it’s already been paid, it doesn’t need to be stored.

Also, why not try signing up for electronic bills and paychecks to save the environment?

Dried Flowers

Whether you received some on your birthday or anniversary, dead dry flowers are something you should get rid of fast. They can attract bugs, mosquitoes, and other insects that might be harmful to you and your family. So when you see them start dry and wilt, throw them out and replace with new ones.

Pens that Don’t Work

Okay, we’re all guilty of this one. We have them in our craft supplies, drawers, and even in our bags. So get rid of all those pens taking up space! It’s just that simple.

Old Toothbrushes

As dentists says, we need to replace our toothbrush every three months. So it makes sense to dispose of all the old toothbrushes and get new ones. Besides decluttering your bathroom of old brushes, it’s great for your teeth’s health as well.

Socks with Holes

If you have socks with holes or lost the other one to the set, take them out of your closet and toss them away. There’s no valid reason to keep them around.

Old Paints

You might keep old paint cans in your garage for touch ups. But when you haven’t used them for several years, these cans of paint can thicken and their color will dull. So basically, remember the name of the color and toss out cans you haven’t used in awhile.

Old Calendars

Take all the old calendars in your home and throw them out or use them for art projects.

Expired Medicines

To properly and easily dispose of expired medicine, mix them with an unpalatable substance like used coffee grounds in a ziplock bag before throwing into the trashcan. This will prevent the drug from leaking or spilling out.

While there are plenty of things that need to be thrown away, prioritizing these ten on the list will definitely make a big difference. They’re all easy to get rid of, will declutter up your space, and help you get more organized. So start today and let me know how it goes!
