10 Great Lists to Make Money From Home

Want to ACTUALLY fire your boss?

You might think that this “sounds nice,” but it’s exactly what my husband and I were able to do when we started making money from home.

And you can too (seriously)! Imagine not waking up at 6AM to go to a job you hate and getting to spend REAL time with your loved ones (not when you get home at night exhausted).

You can actually start one of these work from home opportunity ON THE SIDE and then make them into your FULL-TIME job and quit your 9-5 once and for all.

I mean… how INCREDIBLE would it be if you could actually spend time with your family, have YOU time, and go after that ONE DREAM you’ve been thinking of for a really long time? Dreams like…

How I Make $3,000 a Month as a Stay at Home Wife

Starting a blog is the PERFECT side hustle if you want to have an incredible amount of time and money freedom to quit your job, wake up when YOU want to, be with your loved ones, and pursue that dream you’ve had for a very long time.

Now if you think that making money from a blog takes a long time and only the outgoing do it (AND the tech savvy), then think again.

I was able to have this kind of freedom only a few months after starting my blog. And now… my husband and I have been able to travel the world full-time and be with loved ones. Our time freedom isn’t determined by someone above us. 

We are our own bosses.

The Penny Hoarder is one of my favorite go-to’s when it comes to saving and making money. They do their research well, hence why you’ll be seeing quite a few of their posts in here. And here are just a few options they provide of side jobs that can make you $20+ an hour.

Freelance Writing

Penny Hoarder provides a list of sites that will pay you $200+ per article. Places like Compose, ParentPick, or CSMonitor are all places that will pay you to write content for them… that is if you’re up to the task. I know not all of us are in love with writing, but if you don’t mind it or can see it as a way to make money from home, then it’s worth looking into.

Tutor

Whether you got an A in math, science, or you’re a pro at a specific language, you can tutor people at home by having them come over or online. And the more specialized the subject (such as Advanced Placement Calculus or Physics), the more money you’ll earn.

Side Note: Also, know that you can help tutor English learners over Skype and get paid really great money.

The Best Way to Earn Income From Home 2016

The Work At Home Woman created an awesome list of jobs you can apply for as well as other money making tips. I suppose a list like this would make sense coming from someone with that name.

A few of the recommended full-time and part-time jobs include Aetna and Humana for healthcare positions, LiveOps for customer service, K12 for education, Appen and Overland Solutions for Sales, and even Apple for tech. It really is a great list to look over!

76 Companies That Hire Remote Workers – by Penny Hoarder

All I have to say is that being a remote worker means you can either make money from home.. or abroad. And to be honest, the latter sounds more appealing which is why I made sure to add this post from The Penny Hoarder as well.

Apparently a site called FlexJobs has an awesome list of 76 companies that will hire remote workers. Some of these companies includes Codebusters which helps hospitals/healthcare providers track patient data, Hope Street Group which focuses on social change (if you like being apart of a movement), and Evolving Wisdom which helps people achieve personal growth through online education. There’s plenty to look through and see what would fit your interests and needs.

Work at Home Jobs with No Set Schedule

No set schedule? Oh you mean I can wake up whenever I want? Well that sounds pretty great. Real Ways to Earn found awesome position you can apply for if you want a more flexible schedule. You know, just in case you have important things to do.. like marathon that awesome superhero series on Netflix or take an hour long shower (because why not?).

So here are a few from the list that caught my eye.

Vocoalabs

If you’re calling during regular daytime and evening hours, then you can work this into your schedule and manage customer satisfaction surveys. Sounds like an easy way to make money from home.

Call Center QA

Ever heard of mystery shopping (for those of you who don’t know, you go into a store and check out the customer service unbeknownst to the employees)? Well you can do this over the phone as well. If you’re calling during business hour, you can make some good extra money from home.

Time Etc.

With this company, you can be a virtual assistant from Monday through Thursday (but only if you work at least 5 hours a week).

For instance, a guy name Nick Walter (who was never a teacher) gave lessons on Udemy on Apple’s programming language, Swift (when it was new). And in just a few months, he had made over $100,000 from his uploaded video lessons. Pretty crazy right?

The 4 Side Jobs That Make Me Over $3,000 a Month as a Stay-at-Home Mom

The Busy Budgeter is a great example of being someone who can make money from home. In just a year, she was able to build up her blog (and other side hustles) and makes over $3,000 a month (She made this post around a year ago and is now making $9,000). So here are the 4 ways she makes her monthly income.

Trend Source – Mystery Shopping

If you already go to the store every week, why not sign up for Trend Source and do a bit of mystery shopping? They’ll compensate you for some of your purchase and pay you a little extra. A great way to build up some money over the course of a month.

User Testing

Now this is one I tried based on her suggestion in this post and found good success with it. All you have to do is sign up and they’ll give you websites to look over and review. Using the speaker and recorder on your computer, you’ll perform tasks given by User Testing (such as going on a site and seeing how easy or difficult it is to navigate). You’ll speak out loud giving your answers (it will record your voice as you’re doing this), and you’ll be paid $10 for every test. It really is easy!

Blogging

Blogging is the biggest way she’s made her income. And whether that’s from people clicking on her ads or promoting products or brands she believes in, it really is a great way to make income if you research it right.

Childcare

Depending on where you live, childcare can be in huge demand and it doesn’t alway require you to have some sort of license. You can make some great money per child (it ads up quickly), and you can work from home. And when they leave after a couple hours, it’s over and you’ve found a great way to make money from home.

10 Weird Ways for Moms to Earn an Extra $600 from Home – by Penny Hoarder

Now I may not be a parent yet, but I couldn’t exclude the moms out there who would like to make money from home while being near their kids. Penny Hoarder includes a list of ways moms can earn money which all add up to $600 within a course of a month. Here are just a couple of their awesome options.

$160+ for Just Downloading a Few Apps

Companies, like Google, will pay you to download their app onto your phone. That’s it. They’ll pay you for every month you keep it installed. A couple of these include Smart Panel and Media Insiders Panel. Definitely a no hassle way to make money from home.

A company called Slidejoy gives you money just for keeping an ad on your phone. So instead of a selfie or couple photos on your lock screen you’ll be shown an ad for certain products or services. But if you don’t like it or you’re busy, just slide the ad to your right so you can unlock your phone as usual. No hassle, just a simple way to make money.

Open A New Bank Account: $250+

My husband Silas and I have done this before and the extra money really came in handy. Penny Hoarder created a list of banks (such as Chase and Citibank) that will pay you for opening an account with them (it’s also a great way to have savings accounts that you’ll never think of or touch, like for a car, house, vacation, or Christmas fund).

13 Non-Phone Work at Home Chat and Email Jobs

You hate talking on the phone? Yeah, so do I, it can feel pretty awkward. But there are plenty of jobs you can take where phone work isn’t a thing. Real Ways to Earn Money curated a list of companies that will hire you to do online work and help customers without talking on the phone. So here are just a few from the list that are a great way to make money from home.

Needle

Depending on the brand, you can either get paid per hour or per chat when helping customers. As a needle agent, you’ll get to work with different companies and provide good customer service and help them out with their questions and needs.

Support.com

Paying around $10.25 an hour, all you’ll need will be some basic knowledge on how to set up wireless home networks and printers (which you can easily learn online) when helping customers out in chat.

Apple

Paying really well (even when being trained), and with great benefits, you can be an iTunes chat advisor. Your chances of getting the job will be higher if you have some good knowledge of Apple products and how they function. Also, they’ll send you your own Apple computer so you can work from home. Sounds good right?

InboxDollars – Up to $225 a Month

This is one I’ve done and I wouldn’t turn my nose up to. They give you $5 for signing up and it’s an easy way to make some money. You can get paid for watching movie previews and countless videos. A great way to unwind and make money from home.

In-Theater Checks – $30 a Day

Now this may not be a job from home, but I thought I should include it since it doesn’t involve going to the office everyday.

All you have to do is fill out an application with Certified Field Associates and once you’re accepted, you just have to check in for assignments online. Then you can assign yourself to the project once one comes up and get some money watching a movie.
